While at Ghengis Con this year, I learned one thing. I no longer need painting classes (basic ones). What basic ones I took, I knew what was needed. I am a decent painter in need of practice. All painters need to practice to get better, and that is what I need. Michael, a local painter and great guy, points that out to me fairly often. I just need to paint more. So, I am going to try and do that. So, my mini-goal for next Ghengis is to enter each category:
Single Miniature
Large Miniature
Vehicle/Ordnance
Unit
Diorama/Vignette
It is a very ambitious goal for me, but if I happen to do it, good things will happen. I will become better at what I like to do–paint. I may or may not get an award, but at least I will have tried.
